
Parent's and Toddler's Combined Program
NEW OPPORTUNITY AT AIKIDO DOWNTOWN:
Aikido - Downtown will pilot a new program in the study of body movement development and balance for a toddler together with their parent or guardian on Saturday, October 9 at 4:15PM.
OBJECTIVE:
The program will pick up where your toddler leaves off after they learn to walk; to challenge and develop the movement of their body; to go beyond the developmental breakthroughs in walking, running, and jumping; to explore the beautiful movements of the self-defense arts from Japan.
GOALS:
- Study/Challenge/Develop Balance
- Learn Safety Tumbling Skills
- Learn Cooperation Skills, Listening Skills, and Following Directions Skills
- Learn Contacting Others Softly and Gracefully (not hitting or pushing!)
- Enjoy an active physical art with your toddler in a joyous environment!
REQUIREMENTS:
- A parent or guardian must participate with their child
- Age of child: 2-4 years old and able to walk freely, if a little younger
WHAT TO BRING:
- One favorite doll or stuffed animal
- And one favorite very small toy
- Loose-fitting play clothes
- Snacks for after the class
DETAILS:
- Saturday, October 9: 4:15-5:00PM
- Cost is $8 donation per toddler/guardian pair to the Kid's Action League of Martial Artists, www.kaloma.org , or FREE to members of qualifying non-profit organizations
