Ms. Heather Eilering is Chief Instructor of Yoga
|
Ms. Heather Eilering has this to say about Yoga - Eastside: "Happiness is not a destination: it is the attitude with which you choose to travel." - Yogi Amrit Desai "The most natural way to begin transformation is to become truly intimate with yourself; intimate with your thoughts; intimate with your emotions; intimate with your actions; intimate with your breath and sensations. The practice of yoga leads you to this intimacy and ultimately transforms awareness of your Self." - Ms. Heather Eilering Heather Eilering; Certified 500 hr. Yoga Instructor, Certified Amrit Yoga Nidra Facilitator Having practiced yoga for many years, Heather realized she wanted to share the amazing healing properties of yoga with others. She opened Santosha Yoga Studio in Cranston, RI, with her business partner in June of 2006 in order to create a community where people could teach and heal together. Trained by Yogi Amrit Desai, Heather has received her 500 hour Amrit Yoga Teacher certification as well as Amrit Yoga Nidra certification. Having trained in Yoga and Yoga Nidra, Heather has a unique, holistic view of the ancient practice of yoga. She uses this understanding to empower her students to explore and discover the light and peace residing within their own being, which allows them to take their yoga practice off the mat into their everyday lives. Heather's willingness, in her own words, to "get out of my own way" allows her to listen for internal guidance while teaching and sharing what she receives with her students. Heather not only teaches at her Cranston studio but in the community as well. She has weekly classes at Women and Infants Hospital, Wheaton College, and private clients. At present, Heather's main desire is to blend the intention of giving back to the community what she has so graciously received while living doing what she loves to do. Heather is therefore a perfect match for Main Street Martial Arts Family and Community Center, where we are all working together in the community to spread the arts to all who are eager to learn. |
