Main Street Martial Arts – Kids’ Action League of Martial Artists, Inc. 501(c) (3) – Rhode Island Aikikai – Eastside; Aikido – Eastside; Uechi-Ryu Karate – Eastside; Tai Chi - Eastside

Our Story & Vision:

Since its humble beginnings under the wing of Master Charles C. Earle III Sensei at Charles Earle’s Uechi Karate School, Aikido – Downtown has since grown and moved to a beautiful and family-friendly new facility at 1282 North Main Street in Providence under the name of Main Street Martial Arts, or Aikido - Eastside.  We are located on the East Side of Providence next to JavaSpeed Scooters and Midas Muffler.  We have our own large parking lot, directly in front of our entrance door, right off of highway 95, exit 25.  Our community center and cultural arts approach provides services for after-school programs and basic kitchen services for very busy individuals and families.

Adult Basics Aikido classes take place Monday and Wednesday evenings at 6:30PM and Saturday mornings at 9:30AM.  Kids (Adults and Families Welcome!) Basics Aikido classes take place Tuesday and Thursday afternoons at 4:30PM and Saturday mornings at 9:30AM.

There are also extended programs after each basics class for students who are serious about improving their practice and getting more advanced instruction.  For more information, contact Mr. Michael L. Werth Sensei at (401)274-7672 or go to www.budojo.org .  We’re looking forward to meeting you and practicing the art of Aikido with you and your family.  Please also inquire about our Traditional Uechi-Ryu Karate or Traditional Tai Chi programs.  We have a program for people of all different ages and physical capabilities, and we’ll be happy to counsel you on matching up the most appropriate program.
