Keith Moore Sensei, Chief Instructor at the Aikido Center of Chicago and Director of
Aikido Shinjinkai, has practiced Aikido for 16 years. He lived for six years as uchideshi
(live-in disciple) under the late Aikido and Zen master Fumio Toyoda Shihan - a grueling
apprenticeship conducted in the traditional manner. Formerly serving as General Manager
and Director of the Aikido Association of America and Aikido Association International,
Moore Sensei founded Aikido Shinjinkai in 2002. Headquartered in Chicago, USA,
Shinjinkai is devoted to promoting training in Budo (martial ways) and Zen.
Today Moore Sensei teaches at several locations in the Chicago area, and continues to
travel internationally to instruct special training seminars. His travels have taken
him across the United States and to Canada, England, Poland, Greece, Latvia, Bulgaria and
Japan. As co-Director of a related organization, the Association for Tactical
Applications, he also instructs tactical applications of Aikido to military and
law-enforcement personnel internationally.
