Aikido – Downtown Sword Cut-A-Thon to Prevent Juvenile Crime

 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

(Please forward this to all interested Parties.)

Martial Artists to CUT Juvenile Crime

From Saturday, March 1, 2003 through Monday, March 3, 2003, Aikido – Downtown and The Project Action Foundation will be hosting a Sword Cut-A-Thon fundraiser to prevent juvenile crime.

Project Action is a national award-winning children’s charity whose mission is to prevent juvenile crime by providing disadvantaged and "at risk" children the opportunity to become involved in physical and cultural arts programs, working with the martial arts, dance, and gymnastics schools nationwide.

By partnering with The Project Action Foundation, Mr. Michael L. Werth and Aikido – Downtown are committed to taking a firm stand to prevent juvenile crime and to keep children out of gangs. These children are taught such values as respect, discipline, courage, and integrity, while also learning goal-setting skills and developing a positive work ethic.

To make a federally tax-exempt donation to help prevent juvenile crime and to help keep children out of gangs, please write a check to Project Action Foundation. Recommended donations are $50, $75, or $100, or an amount that you feel you can afford to help "at risk" children. Please mail your name, address, email address, phone number, and your check made out to Project Action Foundation to Aikido – Downtown; 153 Weybosset St; Providence, RI 02903-3890. Thank you for your support!!
